The peak period of use for refrigeration units has arrived, and maintenance and upkeep of the refrigeration unit are of utmost importance at this time. If the poor heat dissipation of the refrigerated truck engine is not dealt with in a timely manner, it can easily cause many faults, even malignant faults.

1、 Regular cleaning of the cooling system of refrigerated trucks

Regularly clean the car's cooling system, preferably twice a year. And when the willow catkins disappear during the spring and summer seasons every year, remove the engine water tank from the car for a full cleaning, and conduct a comprehensive inspection of the entire refrigeration system, so that hidden faults can be dealt with

2、 Please try to stop in a cool and shady place when the temperature is too high

In summer, the car itself is exposed to the scorching sun, and the body temperature will be much higher than usual, especially the water tank and engine temperature will greatly increase. If the engine temperature is too high, it will damage the cylinder gasket, burn out the bearing, and cause mechanical accidents. To prevent excessive engine temperature, the following points should be noted:

1. Add enough cooling water.

2. Check if the thermostat is functioning properly. If the thermostat cannot open the large valve in a timely manner according to regulations, it should be replaced with a new one in a timely manner. If a new one cannot be replaced in a timely manner, the thermostat can be temporarily removed. Never place a faulty thermostat at the outlet of the water jacket.

3. Try to park in a cool place as much as possible, pay attention to the reading on the water temperature gauge while driving, and ensure that it does not exceed 95 ℃. In other cases, the engine hood can be lifted to facilitate ventilation and heat dissipation.

3、 Timely cleaning of evaporator and condenser

1. When cleaning the condenser, use a small brush to clean debris from top to bottom. Then rinse the surface of the condenser with clean water and use a pressurized water gun. The pressure should not be too high. During cleaning, black dirty water will flow out of the condenser shell. When the flowing water is relatively clean, the condenser is cleaned. Check the gap between the condenser fan and the box plate for debris and clean it in a timely manner. The above actions should be carried out after the refrigeration unit is turned off.

2. Most evaporators are made of copper bars, and the distance between the fins is generally between 3-6mm. Cleaning is relatively simple, simply use a water gun to increase the brush size for cleaning.

4、 Pre cool the carriage in advance

The refrigeration unit is used to maintain the temperature of the goods, not to lower the temperature of the goods. The sun is scorching, and the carriage is like an oven. If the carriage is not pre cooled before loading, the goods will be immediately heated by the hot air and the carriage box board, and the temperature of the goods will rise. It is almost impossible to use a cooler to cool them down. The recommended steps are as follows:

1. Open the carriage door, swing the carriage door, let the outside air enter the carriage and circulate a few times, and discharge the hot air.

2. Before closing the door, turn on the refrigeration unit for 5 minutes to allow the evaporator fan to work and generate air convection, which can better discharge the hot air. At the same time, let the refrigeration unit adapt to the ambient temperature first.

3. Close the carriage door, set the engine speed to around 2000 rpm, pre cool the carriage (air) to the required temperature for transporting goods, and then turn off the refrigeration unit.

5、 Check if the components are functioning properly

1. Check if the belt or bracket screws are loose. If the belt is loose, there will be a sharp friction sound at high speeds. If the screws are loose, there will be a creaking sound of metal collision, but due to the loud engine noise, the front of the car needs to be lifted for inspection. Alternatively, after shutting down the engine and refrigeration unit, use tools to tighten and reinforce the compressor screws.

2. Observe whether the surface of the relatively thick pipe produced by the compressor is cold. Generally, there will be water droplets or a wet feeling on the pipe joints or outer walls of the connecting pipes of the compressor. If it is hot, please report the fault for repair in a timely manner.
