As the transportation of refrigerated trucks in Chongqing becomes increasingly routine, fresh vegetables and fruits have become a necessary condition for health. With the rapid development of e-commerce, we can easily enjoy fresh fruits from all over the world without having to search for them. However, the transportation of fresh fruits is a subject of knowledge, and only with good refrigeration machines and correct operation can we enjoy this freshness.

One day, a fruit transport vehicle loaded with a Carrier cooler was carrying a truck of imported fruits to its destination. At that time, the temperature inside the vehicle was set at 2 ℃, and the box was pre cooled to 5 ℃ before loading. The cooler was turned off during loading because there were many types of goods loaded, and they were all mixed goods (kiwi, dragon fruit, durian, etc.). When the refrigerator was restarted, the temperature inside the car had already reached 15 ℃, and it took 4 hours to cool down to 2 ℃. When unloading arrived at the destination, it was found that there was fruit freezing damage at the air outlet and the upper layer of goods.
After inspection and analysis, the following solutions have been proposed to address this phenomenon:
1. First, confirm whether the transportation temperature of various types of fruits is the same, and choose a moderate temperature setting. (Some fruits have different transportation temperatures, but the customer requires the goods to be assembled), but all of them are shipped from the cold storage. The shipper requests to set the temperature for transportation to 4 ℃ (it is recommended to check the temperature table for goods transportation).
2. When mixing different goods, place the goods with higher temperature in the upper and middle parts and tail parts (the outlet air temperature is lower than the return air temperature).
3. Place a layer of cardboard board at a distance of 5 meters from the air outlet, or place the goods packaged in cardboard boxes on top to prevent the air outlet temperature from being too low and freezing the goods.
4. After loading, start the machine and set the temperature. Do not set the temperature to 4 ℃ all at once. First, set the temperature to a higher temperature of 9 ℃ and choose continuous operation.
5. Reduce the temperature by 2 ℃ every 15-30 minutes. (Make the temperature of the goods inside the box as balanced as possible)
6. After reaching the set temperature, run continuously for at least 2 hours, and then choose to operate in start stop mode (it is strongly recommended to operate in continuous mode).
7. Manually defrost twice at 4 ℃.
After providing a solution, we found that:
1) According to the suggestion, no further damage to the goods occurred during transportation after using the refrigeration machine and loading.
2) There is no problem with the unit. When transporting other goods, customers should fully understand the performance of the refrigeration unit and be able to use it correctly.
3) Pre use training for operators is highly necessary, especially for transporting refrigerated and easily frozen goods.
