In winter, when encountering rain and snow, the front windshield of a refrigerated vehicle is prone to freezing, especially after the vehicle has been parked overnight, when the temperature is below zero, the front windshield is prone to freezing if there is water on it.

After leaving the car, there is still hot air in the car, which makes the car glass still hot. When snowflakes fall on the glass, they first melt. During the melting process, the temperature inside the car gradually decreases. When the temperature inside the car is the same as outside, the melted snow on the glass begins to freeze.

1. Warm air defrosting

Start the car and when the engine water temperature rises, blow warm air onto the windshield until the ice layer melts. But this method also has some drawbacks, such as time-consuming, laborious, and fuel consuming. If it no longer rains or snows after the car is put away, you can wipe the water off the windshield clean, which can also prevent the windshield from freezing again.

2. Physical de icing

You can prepare a hard plastic scraper, or you can use a specialized glass frost shovel, which is more convenient, faster, and does not freeze your hands. When there is snow and ice on the glass, use a plastic scraper or glass frost shovel to remove it.

But refrigerated truck manufacturers remind car owners to prevent scratching the glass when removing ice and snow. Plastic scrapers or glass frost shovels should not be scraped back and forth, and should be pushed in the same direction.

3. Chemical de icing

At present, there is a kind of spray deicing agent on the market. It is a high-speed anti icing spray concentrate specially used to defrost iced windows and wipers. It does not damage the body surface and can prevent re icing.

4. Maintain consistent temperature inside and outside the car

After using the car for a whole day, do not immediately lock it and leave. Instead, open the car door for ventilation, wait for the temperature inside the car to drop to about the same level as outside, then turn on the power and use the wiper to brush the snow on the windshield again. At this point, close the car door and lock the car. In the morning, as long as the snow on the windshield is cleared and there is no ice underneath, you can immediately drive on the road.

5. Covering and anti icing

The snow cover only needs to be gently covered, peeled off in the morning, folded and placed in the packaging bag, and the hot car can be set off, saving time and fuel. For cardholders who are unwilling to stretch out their hands and enjoy cleanliness on cold days, this is a good choice.

Due to the low temperature in winter, the use of cold air for defogging results in poor comfort inside the car and is generally rarely adopted. The air that enters the car through external circulation, after being preheated by the engine, blows out warm air that can both defog and warm up.

But on rainy days in winter, due to the high humidity in the air, the effect of using heating to defog is not obvious, and sometimes it may cause repeated fogging. In this case, the solution is to use air conditioning for heating.
