Due to the complex working environment, refrigerated trucks in Chongqing require extra care. The following are essential maintenance steps:
1. Observe the refrigerant level. Use the dryer's inspection window to check the refrigerant level. The glass inspection port is usually installed on the dryer cover. With the engine and refrigeration system running, observe the refrigerant flow through the inspection port. If the refrigeration unit is working properly, you can see clear refrigerant flowing continuously through the inspection port, occasionally carrying small bubbles at high temperatures. These small bubbles will be visible when the refrigeration system is turned off.
2. Check refrigerant levels. Have the refrigerant checked regularly at a repair shop. You can estimate the level by feeling the temperature difference between the dryer's inlet and outlet pipes, or by using a manifold gauge. Also, check the refrigeration system hose connections for oil stains. If leaks are found, have them addressed at a repair shop immediately.
3. Clean the condenser regularly. Rinse the condenser with a water hose, as a clean condenser surface facilitates heat dissipation. Regularly cleaning the condenser surface can greatly improve the cooling effect of the refrigerated truck system.
4. Check the compressor belt. If the surface of the belt in contact with the pulley groove is shiny and there is a "squeaking" noise when starting the refrigerated truck, it indicates that the belt is severely slipping and the belt and pulley should be replaced. If the belt is too loose, it should be adjusted; otherwise, the refrigerated truck system may not cool properly.
